Latest Painting by AJ LaGasse - A Large Commissioned Oil Painting

This is my latest finished painting- a commissioned oil painting for Barnes & Thornburg LLP in South Bend, Indiana. Tim Hernly, a partner in the South Bend office, was kind enough to propose the commission after purchasing one of my paintings for his office.

I just found out that Tim is listed as one of Indiana's Super Lawyers® this year, according to the March issue of Indianapolis Monthly magazine! Kudos to you, Tim! See the news release here. Congratulations to all of the fifty-eight attorneys at Barnes & Thornburg that were selected. Attorneys named as Indiana Super Lawyers® are selected through a peer-review survey of more than 13,000 attorneys, and a complete list can be found at http://www.superlawyers.com/.

Now, the highlights in the painting contain irridescent paint, which makes it appear more prominent in the photo above, because of the lighting that I use to take the photo. For example, the 'white-ish' area in the center-right side of the painting is an irridescent-gold highlight. In real life, it only shows when viewed at a certain angle. The same is true for the blue and green 'veins' that appear at the upper right and bottom right corners.
