Daily Painting - 'DEEP FOREST'- 24 x 72 inches - LaGasse Abstract Art on Gallery Wrap Canvas

This is another entry in my latest crackle/distressed series. I'm having a lot of fun with this technique (can you tell?) :)

As you know, I love the glow of the setting sun. I also love everything about autumn. So, of course, I just had to create a wooded scene with a more panoramic feel than the last one I did in these hues. That one was 72x36 inches. This piece is 72x24 inches, so it creates the feeling that you have a wider view.

'Deep Forest' is the name of this piece, and it will be up for auction tonight. Simply click the image above to see more!

Daily Painting - 'RED BULL'- 36 x 72 inches - LaGasse Abstract Art on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Todays' painting is a bold statement in red- 'Red Bull', that is! You can almost feel the sheer power of the beast as he lunges and turns, and lunges again! For those that aren't afraid of making a statement, this piece will surely be a conversation piece.

The auction starts tonight, with no reserve. So if you bid $49.00, and no one else comes along- it's yours! -

Olé!

Each panel is 24x30 inches, meaning that the overall size is 72x30 inches - that's 6 feet wide!

Good luck with this auction!

Commissioned Painting - 'INDUSTRY CITY II'- 36 x 18 inches - LaGasse Abstract Art -MIXED MEDIA Painting

This is a commissioned acrylic painting named 'Industry City II'. Two 18x18 inch gallery wrap canvases were used for this piece.

I used a light green background to create a weathered verdigris look, something that you might see in a NYC subway, outside of the 'high profile' areas that are trying to look a little glitzy nowadays.

Daily Painting - 'LADY LIBERTY II'- 36 x 24 inches - LaGasse NYC Abstract Art on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Today's painting is 'Lady Liberty II', a 24x36 inch pop art/abstract painting with a silhouette of New York City's Statue of Liberty against a red, white and blue background.

I created this piece in homage to all of the brave souls who have paid the ultimate price, from September 11th, 2001 to this day. I truly hope that, as a nation, we will never forget the events of that day, since it should always serve as a reminder that we must never again let our guard down.

Commissioned Painting - 'DYNASTY II'- 30 x 40 inches - LaGasse Abstract Art -Textured Oil Painting

Today's painting is a commissioned oil painting- 'Dynasty II'. This painting is an oil painting with texture- at 30x40 inches, it's very impressive in person!

As I mention frequently in my posts, I love working with oil, especially the textured oil paintings. The only drawback is the drying time- but it's always worth the wait!

Commissioned Painting - 'TEMPEST GROOVE II'- 36 x 72 inches - LaGasse Abstract Art

'TEMPEST GROOVE II' is a commissioned abstract painting. I only post the commissions here when I don't have a daily painting finished in time to make a blog entry. Since I'm always juggling several works at once, that's usually not the case, but it happens!

PS - Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend!
