'Time Passages' - 72x24 inches -Crimson Art by LaGasse

This is an abstract art painting on two canvases, which is also known as a 'diptych'. I've incorporated some neutral color along with crimson, which always provides a strong presence in a room.

I find that many people like the warmth from the crimson hues. I think that crimson also appeals to our instinctive quest for fire, and is almost soothing in a way- maybe even comforting?

'Captured Light' - 72x36 inches - Abstract Landscape Art by AJ LaGasse

This is a sunset at twilight painting on 3 canvases. I wanted to capture the range of colors that you sometimes see right after the sun dips below the horizon. A foggy atmosphere is apparent in the valley below.

This is an abstract painting in crimson, orange, and yellow hues as a background with areas of black and sienna browns as an overlay. This painting is very large (6 feet wide by 3 feet high!), and is considered a 'triptych' (3 piece).

'Rhapsody in Blue-Green' - 60x36 inches - Acrylic on canvas

'Rhapsody in Blue-Green' - 60x36 inches - Acrylic on canvas

This is a commission request that I finished yesterday. It's a 5 piece abstract painting, where I used photos to try to get close to the color scheme requested. The idea was to use a 'green' that was close to the pillow and part of the rug, as shown in the photo below, as opposed to an emerald green (pthalo green ).

As you can see in the photo below, the green in the rug is almost a grey-green, and the pillow is a shade lighter. Further descriptions have the greens as being 'sage' and 'similar to eucalyptus, which was helpful in mixing the paint. I tried to get the green right between the pillow's color, and the rug. I think it's close- we'll only know for sure when it's hanging on the wall! And the lighting will be a factor, but the important thing to remember is that in art, the human brain easily figures out what is supposed to be going on, and doesn't need an exact match!

I was also more energetic with the drips than with the original painting (see it here) that this was based upon- I wanted to add more excitement to this one! (Always trying to do better, huh?!)

So when you are ready for your own custom-painted artwork, pick one out, and drop me a line!

This is an abstract painting in blue and brown hues. Painted on 3 canvases, the overall width is 54 inches. The sides are 1.5 inches deep, and painted, so there is no need for a frame!

'JEWELS OF THE NILE' - 18x24 inches - Textured Oil on Canvas

Textured Art

'JEWELS OF THE NILE' - 18x24 inches - Textured Oil on Canvas

A customer requested a commissioned painting similar to this one- so I'll be working on it today. These textured pieces of art (I call them 'jewels') have very interesting colors and textures. In a way, they remind me of geodes, or rock formations.

No two paintings are exactly alike, and no 2 patterns are exactly alike! You can't get more original than this! You have to be patient, though- they take approx 5 weeks to dry before shipping, but WELL WORTH the wait! Don't just take my word for it, read some of the feedback that we've gotten over the years...

PS-
Eric, your ''CABERNET SUNSET' is almost ready- I'm hoping to ship it out next week!
Clint, your 'ZINFANDEL SUNSET' is also getting close to being shipped- probably next week as well!
