This is a new sunset today- 'Inspirational Sunset'. It's a 3 panel gallery wrap canvas painting with the following inscription at the bottom: Psalm 19:1 (The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.) I think the text is very appropriate for this type of scene, it's something I think about every time I look at the sky and see the ever-changing canvas that God paints for us! I FINISHED THE EAGLE!!

As you may remember from a couple of weeks ago, I've been painting an eagle statue that I got my wife for Christmas. It took several layers, but I finally finished it! I had to sort of work it into my tight schedule, between trying to create a painting every day, commissions, etc.

This is what the eagle looked like when we received it:




I have to say, that the artist that created the statue is great- the detail is phenomenal! This is a resin statue, and that's why it has that 'putty' color.

Needless to say, I'm happy with the way it turned out, and so is Melelina! Anyway, that's the latest great art news in the LaGasse Studio! Ha Ha!
